Job Title: Receiving & Inventory Coordinator

Reports to: Marketing/Client Engagement & Operations Assistant

Supervises Others: No

Pay Rate: $12.00-15.00 per hr. 

 

Essential Role: 

Reporting to the Store Director you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the store’s inventory utilizing Lightspeed - POS, including: receiving inventory, communicating with vendors regarding status of purchase orders, processing and tracking customers special orders and eCommerce orders. 

 

Responsibilities: 

This position’s primary responsibility is to oversee the ordering, receiving and management of our store’s extensive inventory. The goal is to uphold efficiency while minimizing errors. 

Specifically, you will: 

  • Oversee the receiving of merchandise, conduct spot inventories to ensure proper levels, correspond with vendors to ensure prompt arrival of purchase orders.

  • Work closely with buyer/director on any orders not fulfilled/backorders or orders not confirmed or arriving on time, close purchase orders when complete, as well as order arrival time per fashion calendar. 

  • Manage and track vendor returns/damages, to ensure proper credit, and complete credit through POS system.

  •  Track customers special orders on purchase orders to help ensure fulfilment time frame of 4 weeks, including following up with customers, shipping orders as they arrive, etc.

  • Support sales staff by tracking & pulling customers requests upon arrival. 

  • Support sales staff by inquiring with vendors customer service on items needed to complete customer’s sale.  

 

Qualifications: 

As a growing retail business, we require that you have: 

  • 2+ years of receiving experience. 

  • Be a detailed numbers oriented,and highly organized individual.

  • Be able to demonstrate professional communication skills, both written and verbal as well as good customer service skills. 

  • Working familiarity with a Point of Sale program.

  • Basic retail math skills 

  • Availability of 15-20 hour per week. 

Expectations:

 

  • To gain a working knowledge of the company’s POS system to be able to offer suggestions to streamline the company’s current processes.
