In addition to helping mothers look and feel their best during this precious time, we also offer a full line of Medela breast pumps and offer “The Art of Pumping” consultations on successful pumping and breastfeeding. We also gladly offer information on how to find lactation consultants and support networks for new mothers and moms-to-be.
Bra~vo Recommends
~ Pregnant? We recommend you be fitted for a maternity bra as soon as your bra feels snug. Keep in mind that throughout your pregnancy, it’s not unusual to change bra sizes two to three times.
~ Get fitted in the beginning of your pregnancy. This will ensure comfort, and will help minimize any stretching of the breast tissue. During pregnancy (and breast feeding) your bust is as its heaviest. It’s at this time that it’s most important to keep yourself supported in a properly fitted bra.
~ Two weeks prior to your due date, we recommend that you be fitted for a nursing bra. This way, you can pack your nursing bra in your hospital bag – and feel that much more prepared for your special day.
~ During your fitting appointment with us, we’ll also gladly assist you in becoming familiar with a breast pump, providing you with a private demonstration. Before the baby comes is the perfect time for the new mom to learn how to operate a breast pump; knowing and asking questions before delivery ensures a higher nursing success rate.
If you’re a new customer, we ask that you set aside 45 minutes for your fitting appointment. We want to make sure you feel comfortable and relaxed with the nursing process.
